Virtua Drunkard

While I had seen 3D games before (Winning Run?), there was nothing quite like my first glimpse of Sega's Virtua Fighter.

I was up in Glasgow at the School of Art Graduation Show, looking at all the pretentious Fine Art shizzle, my friend did the Character Drawing or some such nonsense. As this was quite a posh do, there was free wine. Normally I don't imbibe vino; but at that price, it was hard to turn down.
Suffice to say, me and my compadré were a little monged by the end of the show; much to the annoyance of my artist friend, although his family didn't seem to notice. Or did they?

It was then off to a nearby pub where some serious power drinking began (beer was being purchased for us). All I can remember is having a couple of goes on Virtua Fighter while remarking: "fuggin' great that is".

Remember kids, drink and video games don't mix.
