wow...nice 6 cabs. I love those Q cabs. Had a chance to buy a nice Impress for $600 a long while back from Jorge (off the neo boards) and passed. Kicking myself everytime I see one, lol.

There is a simple answer to your question...sit online wayyy tooo much!!!! Nah it really is that easy...I troll many websites, Ebay, Craigslist, about a dozen forums...and i go to as many auctions as I can....Ive actually had about 5 or 6 other candy cabs that Ive sold off....in order to get the "twins" group Ive got...but thecabs have come from all over as far as California to ship the last Q25 I snagged...


And to whoever asked where the cabs were...in my 2nd floor office...all 6 of em 4 on 1 wall and the 2 Uni's on the other

the french are taking over candy cab imports in Europe, namely Neo Legend and co

alls fair in love n war though - its a public domain listed auction, he who have the biggest wallet wins.

from conversations with Penrhos, he is helping out with another cab order and sorting cabs out/organising restorations, but i'll let him comment more on that as its none of my business.

It looks like there are two french collections ongoing on YHJ Neo legends & another newer importer - both appear to be destined for Paris, both seem to have deep pockets.

Yes I have been looking on YHJ & some cabs have been purchased.

My Neo in Tone's current order & the Madonna he has in storage in Japan are two examples.

I spotted the Tablepony but couldn't outbid the agent collecting for one of the other cab orders, same with the last few Minicutes.

And yes I will be assisting Tone with the current order, it looks like I'll be checking over the Aerotable's and maybe a couple of the other cabs coming in but due to the distance & my limited cab knowledge (I'm no Mr_meg, andy or craig) my assistance will be limited. The AT's as they may need powdercoating are more within my comfort zone than trying to sortout monitor issues and the like.

I've been after a dedicated Neo cab for a while & there's no way wifey is going to let me have an Electrocoin MV6 or lordsvale in the house but I had the LS-Sound, Pony-3 & Egret-II in the house (they are beige and match the walls) So a Japanese Neo cab was probably the only way I was going to get one in the house.

Everyone will have to wait until it arrives to find out what it is and what condition its in.

Not sure - Its not cost effective for a single cab you realy need to do a container load (18-20 cabs) fot it to be worth while.

You could end up buying a cab for 20,000 Yen ($200 or £100) and paying $900 (£450) just to ship it.

I've asked SMJ in the past and the answer has always been NO - they will only ship to Maximum EMS/SAL weights & sizes.

is it worth tracking down which middleman service is "nichidoishere"? maybe they do things differently... but most probably they will ship to someone local and that local contact arranges to hold and to ship once cabs have been consolidated?

edit: i guess it should be easy enough to "contact buyer/seller" whoever nichidoishere is and you would expect them to understand english if they are a middleman service?!

Nah teh colors were different because I was running CPS1 hardware in teh one cab....I adjusted it and they both match 100% now.

As the controls go Player 1 plays cab on the left on the Player 1 side...and Player 2 plays on Player 2 on the cab to the right..

Im toying with getting some cheapo 1PL CP's

You can snag the link cables from YHJ pretty cheap....mine was made by Sanwa, and came complete with kick harness assembly for CPS2/3. Cost me less than $80 all said and done

how are link cables installed? these are the genuine link cables, correct? not those funny splitters...?

i'll make own link cables, complete with RGB amp so there is no signal degridation when outputting one PCB to 2 monitors, no need to alter RGB levels etc, which i've head you have to do with some splitter looms

The cables are like splitters I suppose....but mine are official Sanwa made...super heavy guage wire....I dontnotice any picture difference from one cab to another......

On a side Note Another gameroom update!!!! 2 new CP's both from YHJ. 1 for my Q25 and an NNC for my UNI:
