Grinning NCL Jade - Wipe Out

Went on a short cruise to Ireland...

The trip started from Southampton.... where all cabs to UK often come in from.

Oh look!! It's the NYK Apollo! She brought in one of our orders before!

Lets check out the arcade in the NCL Jade anyhow. Previous NCL cruises I have been on, they had some pretty cool games, like a hydraulic Afterburner Climax on freeplay... I wonder if there'd be such luck this time??

Very small this time!! You can see everything at a glance.

Lets have a closer look at the games...

Hang on a sec... Capcom vs SNK 2???

WTF?? And 3rd Strike?? I get the feeling that these games are for the staff rather than for your general cruise holidaymakers!

At least some people are playing the games.

    Isn't this a PC game??

    ...some other random stuff:

At Dublin... crazy queue for the free coaches to get into town. Luckily, 5 turned up soon after this so we were away!

    what the ? ! ? !

gobsmacked, small but MY GOD you would be entertained in that room for hours !
awesome choice of games, Out Run 2, 3rd Strike and Time Crisis 3 alone would be enough for me

  4. Question

The two red cabs in the middle distance look like they've been badly Photoshoped onto the picture.
It looks weird, a bit like Tron or something.

Great selection for a small place, plenty to keep you entertained.

I was in a bigger arcade in Woolacombe Bay a few days ago but that was much less impressive. The only item of interest was a sega rally 3 machine. You would have liked it though vib, they had the old horse racing and roulette machines

i'm gonna come down to southend one of these weekends if the weather holds up. i read your post about you moving, are you moving away from the seaside??

while i was in Cork, i came across a fun fair but it was too early and it wasn't open. they had a trailer full of one arm bandits and other old gamblers, but time didn't permit me to stop and take photos... (not sure if the owners would have appreciated it neither cos they were busy fixing up something).

I'm moving closer to the seaside (well....the thames estuary side). The beach will be a few minutes walk away, but I'll be about 3 miles from the nearest arcade
