Thread: Deathsmiles II: Bloody Hell (it looks shite)

  1. What the f**k? Deathsmiles II: Bloody Hell (it looks shite)

    I'm pretending it didn't happen.

It's getting mullered by the fanboys. Looks like a PSX game (literally) and is a short, bug ridden mess by all accounts. No ones playing it. Might be playable by the nth revision but it still looks a mess. I realize its Caves first game on new hardware but they didn't have to go for the shitty dated polygon look. They should've got into bed with Taito or SEGA.

Warning, the following video may cause crying into cornflakes:

  2. What the f**k? Deathsmiles II: Bloody Hell (it looks shite)

I thought I would create a thread where we can vent our increasing dismay at the thought of what Cave are doing with Deathsmiles II: Hell's Christmas.

I think it's safe to say SuperPang's latest posts in the console DS thread has worried us all.
I've moved your post Pang and holy dogshit Batman, it looks bad.

    I also read this:

Even if it's crap, I'd take a copy for that price.

I'd be interested to see if anyone can find some footage that would provide a vestige of hope, it certainly looks like they are taking the 3D obsessed consumer market into consideration, maybe trying to sell the inevitable home conversion to da kidz.

    The flyer looks so good...

There's some info on the hardware on cave-stg.com and its more powerful than Type X 2

I think we can safely say Cave are shit at 3D.

Cave could be on the brink of losing it.
If they make an arse of the sequel to one of their most popular games ever, it will seriously damage their reputation.

Maybe it's not too late for them to get some help polishing it up a bit?
Unfortunately, a saying I live my life by is simply "you can't polish a turd".

Seriously though, arcade games that are Windows XP based? It's just not right.

    Default Cave

Makes me think of SNK leaving MVS everything just went down hill IMO. these companies master 2D and turn to 3D where they know next to nothing and have to start from the bottom.

I loved the little Cave SH3 boards I bet the 3D one is a monster, more like a PC than a Jamma board.

Such a shame but I suppose that is progress.

I think they should have gone for high definition 2D (suitable for the new cabs being installed all over Japan) rather than 3D. It's still progress of a sort.

Can you imagine 3D adding anything to the Donpachi series?
    The thought makes me shudder.
